Sara Calcagno is a contemporary Italian painter.
Born in Rivoli (Turin), currently she lives and works in Tuscany, where she has her painting studio.
Sara Calcagno has always been passionate about drawing since her childhood. The first painting teacher was her elementary school teacher, a painter from Turin, Carla Zanetto. Over the years, she has maintained her passion and followed several painting lessons by Laura Ghersi, Laura Parotti, Amelia Argenzano, Antonella Properzi, Vicki Sullivan.
From 2014 to 2017 she was taught by Italian Master Giorgio Dante in Rome.
Starting from 2017 she is expanding her artistic training following courses with other Masters including: Michelle Dunaway, Teresa Oaxaca, Tina Garrett, Giorgio Dante and Roberto Ferri.
Graduated in Modern Foreign Languages and Literature at the Faculty of Literature of the University of Turin, Sara has traveled, studied and worked a lot abroad, since she was a young little girl of 13. In England, France, Germany, Austria.
In 2013 she decided to devote all her time and her energy to painting and art and so it has been until now.
Since May 2016 she opened her romantic roof painting atelier in Tavernelle, Montalcino (Siena), surrounded by vineyards and beauty.
